Under the direction of the Office Manager, the Office Attendant assists in maintaining a clean and healthy office environment, serves refreshment at meetings upon request, and carry out basic office errands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Cleans office furniture and equipment as necessary.
• Serves refreshment to staff or visitors to the organization as requested.
• Assists with coffee breaks and serving of lunches at meetings and conferences.
• Collects and cleans all items such as cups, saucers etc. after use.
• Secures at all times the necessary cleaning agents for kitchen and general office when and where necessary.
• Monitors use of all office supplies and accessories as pertain to food and beverage.
• Distributes inter office correspondence as requested.
• Runs minor errands as requested, photo copy documents/correspondence when requested.
• Distributes newspaper/journals
• Performs any other related duty when assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Good knowledge of table etiquette
• Good knowledge of basic food preparation
• Good ability to work effectively with other team members to achieve team goals.
• Good ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Secondary school leaving certificate.
• Possession of a food handler’s permit
