The Information Officer provides information on Jamaica, at the designated Information Kiosks; collects and documents complaints of the visitors which are forwarded to the Jamaica Tourist Board or other relevant agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with the dispatching of Cruise Passengers.
Collects and collates data in preparation for Statistical and Analytical Reports.
Disseminates correct information to the visitors regarding the tourism product.
Organizes Information Officers Manual in a timely manner.
Coordinates with relevant persons and agencies in a timely manner regarding complaints.
Collects and distributes brochures and other relevant information that are collected on a timely basis to ensure adequate supply is always available.
Assists with delivery of contract carriage licences & forms.

Should be able to stand for long hours if necessary.
Excellent organizational and time management.
Observes confidentiality where applicable.
Must be able to work at the Montego Bay & Falmouth Piers.
Assists at other TPDCo locations where necessary.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
4 CXC and GCE O’Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics
Familiar with the use of Computer Programmes such as Excel and Microsoft Word
Second Language is not a requirement but would be an Asset.
