Join our kitchen team as a Prep Chef — the backbone of every great meal! You’ll be responsible for prepping fresh ingredients, keeping stations organized, and setting the pace for flawless service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes (washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, portioning, marinating, etc.)
Assist in the preparation of sauces, dressings, and base items before service
Ensure all workstations are stocked with prepped ingredients for the day’s service
Label and store all prepped food correctly to maintain freshness and minimize waste
Maintain a clean and organized prep area at all times
Support the line cooks and chefs during service as needed
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the chef or kitchen supervisor
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen preferred (experience in prep or line cooking an asset)
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, knife skills, and food safety practices
Ability to follow recipes, directions, and portion standards accurately
Excellent time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
