As a bartender, you prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while assisting guests with drink selections. Maintain a clean, efficient bar and provide friendly, professional service.
Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications. Helping guests choose menu items or guiding them through drink options. Taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their time at the hotel. Have a full knowledge of mixology and the use of all bar equipment, glassware and ingredients. Maintain a clean and efficient bar, practices excellent customer service with a pleasant and approachable demeanor at all times on the job.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Check requisitioned supplies and assists in the preparation of requisitions.
2. Set up bars and prepare bar for service
3. Make premixes and slush machine recipes.
4. Set up wine display.
5. Supervise and makes garnishes.
6. Ensure napkins and straw dispensers are filled and clean
7. Check bar refrigerator to ensure correct temperature.
8. Make sure bar is kept clean and tidy during service hours
9. Assist bar supervisor/manager with special functions.
10. Follow closing procedures.
11. Do all other duties related to your job as a Bartender and any other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
12. Verify customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
13. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
14. Stay guest focused and nurture a safe, healthy and positive atmosphere
15. Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• High School Diploma or above. Food Safety training.
• Mixology Certification.
• Two to Three years minimal experience in the hospitality industry and ability to maintain
the highest level of standards.
• Demonstrate the ability to work well with others.
• Even-tempered and able to manage stress and long working hours.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
NOTE: Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual acuity, lifting and may on occasions have to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
